Training and Education

trainingThe PA Agricultural Ombudsman Program is funded through the same financial resources as special programs that all Conservation Districts have access to, such as Leadership Development, Agricultural Conservation Technicians (ACTs) and farmland preservation.  Therefore, the Ombudsman Program attempts to serve all Conservation Districts in PA.   We are willing to offer trainings and seminars to all Conservation District staff.  We provide educational publications and DVDs to the whole state.  We also extend our training opportunities and publications to partnering agencies, such as but not limited to USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), PA Department of Environmental Protection and Penn State Extension.

If your Conservation District or agency has a need for training on a topic related to

  • agriculture
  • conservation
  • land use planning
  • odor minimization
  • fly management
  • mortality disposal
  • PA Right to Farm Act

Let Shelly or Beth know, and we will create a training with your input.
